I felt so proud of myself tonight. But then I slammed my head into the wall…
We have two WBI’s to move at two checkpoints tonight. The site prep was completed a week ago, I carefully measured and marked out the holes to be drilled by the electrician, they ran the electrical and data conduits. We were ready to go!
We went to move the first one and the existing cables were too short. But I saved the day by ignoring the original installation tech’s admonishment of, “Why are you coiling up so much spare cable? It’s not like we’re ever going to move this thing.” I coiled up spare cable anyway. That was six months ago and when we fell short tonight, I uncoiled my spare and “ta-da!”, Chris saves the day.
But then we go to move the second WBI and I shit the bed. Again, I carefully measured the floor last week, marked the holes, the electrician drilled, ran conduit. And when we went to move the machine, someone pointed out that the WBI is 8’7″ and the 10′ ceiling drops to 7’11″ right where I planned to put the machine. We had to move it back about a foot which meant the electricians had to drill new holes through the floor and change their pipe… I had planned to get out of there around midnight, we just finished and I am writing this up at 4:30am.

But the floor plan never said anything about the ceiling!
So much for saving the day. Piss poor planning…
