So none of you took me up on my opening to make me into a sports fan. Just as well, I don’t have the time for it.
On my brother’s radio show he and his partner talk about sports and especially football (It is football season after all). They wanted people to join their group for football picks on the ESPN website. As a goof, Teresa and I signed up.
Jeff spends every other waking moment dealing with football stats and injury reports. He’s a real strategist about which team will do well, matched up against which team this week. I pick the teams based on mascots and cities I like. Teresa picks teams based on who has the nicer quarterback and when that fails, who has the best looking uniforms. She’ll pick the Jaguars every time and neither of us give any thought to team records or how well they are expected to do this week. Vikings are cool, I always pick Minnesota. Pirates suck, I never pick Tampa. Now if only they had a team named the Ninjas…
There have been four weeks of play and as of last night, I’m one point ahead of my brother, Teresa is 2 points ahead of me.
That shit is funny to me…

I can’t believe how well you 2 are doing! At first, I thought I was just doing THAT BAD! But Teresa is in the top 4% of ALL users on espn.com!!!! (134,975 of them) you are doing better than 89.5% and I am at 84.6%! 85% aint bad, but you guys are tearing it up! lol Now, college football is MY thing and Im kicking your BUTT at that! Let’s just ask Teresa if she likes black or red better and odd or even. Maybe a favorite number? Then let’s roll out to Vegas and bet a ton of money on the “pretty color” lol.
