I have decided that I am pro-shower.
Bath, hose down, walk in the rain… whatever it takes, I like to be rinsed off a couple times a day. People romanticize about medieval days or the renaissance, and I know I wouldn’t know the difference if I were born back then, but I couldn’t handle going without a daily shower. Some people need their coffee, I need a shower or I’m a cranky bitch. I wonder if future generations will feel the same about their dry-nanocite showers…
I guess it’s a strange thing to share in the blog, but hey, it’s free…
All this came from me going through my mental file cabinets looking for my list of daily activities. I’ve been trying to come up with an hour that can be reallocated or eliminated. With NaNoWriMo on the horizon, some of my podosphere authors are talking about doing it this year and I’m considering it as well. Last year was my first attempt, and I completed it! But I was living in a hotel in Chicago and there was a LOT of down time at work. Now that I’m home, all my “free time” has been swallowed up with important family/house things and anything left over has been used as “down time”.
All I really have to do is make writing a priority and use some of that bogus, wasteful “down time” to get some writing done. That’s the same down time I use to put off editing the audio for the AVCfH shows and a bunch of other things I should be doing… Rest is for the dead, if you’re alive you should be awake and doing something useful right? What good is resting with your feet up going to accomplish? Some people might say it’s to keep you sane or even to recharge your batteries but honestly, I don’t know if anything will ever keep me completely sane…
Considering how busy Teresa and I are, according to special relativity theory we’ll never age!! (It also explains why we’re so heavy…) But the faster we move, the more time we’ll have to get it all done! HA! I’ve solved EVERYTHING!!! I rule!!! Okay, maybe not…
As a quick little edit: About an hour after I wrote this all up and saved it for later, I had it pointed out to me that my busy life and my inability to make priorities is why my favorite djembe still doesn’t have a skin on it and my Mac is sitting here collecting dust. I’ve had offers to help with both problems, I just haven’t found made the time to get them done… It’s probably why I haven’t completed much writing recently. Make priorities man! I really need to work on my time management skills.
