Okay, so Chris says I need to do an update since I haven’t done one in a while. I’ve been so freaking busy I just haven’t had time to sit down and collect my thoughts. I’ll try to be positive for this post because I’ve been told many times I focus too much on the negative… so here goes…
Becca is doing great in school. So far we’ve got A’s & B’s and she seems to be enjoying school. She didn’t get on the volleyball team this year, but it’s almost a good thing with our busy schedule of school, NJHS and Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts is hectic as always and of course my big mouth has gotten me into trouble again and I’ve totally over extended myself with Girl Scouts. I am the leader of two troops – 15 Daisies and 12 Cadettes. I am the coach of 5 troops (9 Ladies) and I’ve done such a great job so far this year that they’ve decided to reward me (insert sarcasm here) by adding 2 more troops (4 ladies) to my cluster. I am the Secretary to our Service Unit and Service team and I manage our yahoo group. Not to mention the TWO events I volunteered to host this year. Someone give me a roll of duct tape for my mouth! With all my complaining, I’m really loving it. I’m totally exhausted by running around 4 days a week (6-8:30pm) after working 11 hours but.. I love it and enjoy knowing I’m helping so many girls and relieving some of the stress from so many wonderful ladies.
My day care is AWESOME! I’m up to three children right now with a fourth one coming in January/February (6 weeks after he’s born). I’ve got a 2 ½ month old, 2 ½ year old and 3 ½ year old. ALL GIRLS! Wow, who’da thought I’d be begging for some boys! I’ve got a couple other’s that are interested but so far… I’m just at 3. I can’t go higher than 6 right now because of the baby but I’m not doing it for the money (though I should right now since we’re so desperate for it) OOOPs, no negativity!
The girls are wonderful. I just love playing with my littlest one, she’s such a little darling and such a good baby! My two older ones are definite characters. I’ve got one that shushes me daily, I just want to pinch her nose! And the other one poops like crazy! The smell is enough to make me want to rip my nose off! We spend the day playing with play doh, finger painting, reading books and coloring – well in between feeding, burping and changing the little one. Becca seems to be enjoying the day care too, she comes home in a great mood, grabs up the baby and throws balls (yes in the house) at the older girls. Such LAUGHTER! I can’t tell if this is making her crave a little brother or sister more or if it’s just enough to make her give up that dream.
I’ve increased my hours to 6:30am until 5:30pm, have Girl Scouts officially Tuesday & Wednesday from 6:30 until 8:30 but for the past 4 weeks we’ve had Girl Scouts Mon-Thur 6:00-8:30pm so my days are long and hectic. Hopefully things will calm down soon. HOPEFULLY! One of these days I’ll be able to hang out with friends, visit with family and just relax… HOPEFULLY!
Well, more to post later, Becca has riled the kids up to a noise level I won’t tolerate so it’s time to referee again. NO RUNNING IN THE HOUSE BECCA!
