All these programs they have only seem to work for the people who aren't TRYING to keep up. We actually had a similar talk with our bank before I got promoted and the guy actually told us that straight up. If we were farther behind, we would qualify for all kinds of programs... but because we weren't actually past due 6 months, just constantly late and only a little behind... they wanted their money.
