I’ve been super busy and I know all of you have been busy as well. I don’t write much when I’m at home. There are too many other things to do in the small amount of time I’m here.
But while I was waiting on some files to load, I threw together this little image. The inspiration comes from thousands of senseless displays of ignorance (mostly bumper stickers) but one in particular made my brain stumble. While shopping with Becca I saw a lady with a white sweater with Rudolf on it. He was pulling a banner behind him that said, “Jesus is the reason for the season”. She was rudely barking at the clerk about seventeen cents.
I wanted to say, “Hey lady, I’ll give you the seventeen cents if you’ll stop berating that poor kid. Minimum wage and long holiday hours aren’t enough to put up with your shit. It’s Christmas, act more Christlike! By the way, Jesus is the result of the season, not the reason and honestly, mixing Rudolf and Jesus in the same holiday greeting might be counter-productive. Some people might figure out they’re both fictional characters.”
What I did say, “C’mon Becca, let’s get out of here before it turns ugly.”
Merry Christmas
