You know how dogs sniff each other’s butts when they first meet? Or someone will judge your character by your handshake or your sensibility by your shoes?
From now on when I first meet someone I will ask them, “Under which genre do you file the band Living Colour?”
This should tell me all I need to know about them…

Living Colour is a band? I thought it was an ol Fox TV show that the wayans brothers produced and gave Jim Carrey his big break…

Yes, they predate the television show “In Living Color” by several years. Great band, had to classify. Metal, punk, fusion, jazz, funk, pop…
Lots of people skipped over them but they had a big hit with the track “Cult of Personality” in 88/89. (It got WAY overplayed) I just revisited their later album “Stain” and forgot how good these guys really were.
I just don’t know how to identify them by genre. They’re all OVER the place and I think that’s why I like them…
