Sorry, just catching up on your shows. Listened to show 5 where you are talking about my feedback on the Arlingon Rd show. I wasn't saying not to spoil movies. I was basically suggesting you pick a movie that isn't JUST an ending. I personally couldn't care less about spoilers.

Peer: one that is of equal standing with another : equal; especially : one belonging to the same societal group especially based on age, grade, or status.

I have a couple of Mics and mic stands and a USB interface. Maybe we could isolate the mic from your desk. or workspace, and get separate mics on each of you to boot. Call me.

Postman v Waterworld:

I agree that there was a lot of hype about Waterworld's big budget and slow opening weekend but from everything I've read, The Postman was a bigger financial disappointment overall. Waterworld actually made money in the end.

WW=175M budget, made 264M overall
PM=80M budget, made 18M overall

Both being set in post-apocalyptic worlds (one of my favorite genres) I think they both suck. I've seen Waterworld a few times and it's just terrible. I've only seen The Postman once but the best thing I can say about it is I didn't get seasick.

I think the real question here is a Family Guy quote, "How does Kevin Costner keep getting work!?"

Show notes: Episode #6 – Boondock Saints

Recorded November 8, 2009
Posted November 13, 2009

Recorded, edited and posted within five days!!! Don't hold me to that standard in the future though...

Episode number six, in which your heroes thaw out Han Solo and take on the mighty Jabb... Sorry, wrong episode six... Episode six, in which Fred and I fawn all over the new Slayer album and poke fun at a few of the movies we've seen in the last few weeks. I somehow use the words 'Heavy Metal' and 'renaissance' in the same sentence and Fred once again declares his heterosexuality. Fun stuff I tell ya!

This week we discuss another 1999 movie, “Boondock Saints”. A sleeper that relied on word of mouth recommendations to gain strength. Now it has a sequel coming out. Can't speak for part two yet, but we both love part one.

Thanks for your feedback! We really do listen. This week's show is a bit shorter, coming in around 51 minutes instead of the 69 minutes from last show. Saving you 18 minutes already! We've also eliminated "Housekeeping" and pushed "Feedback" further in the show. If you have suggestions, rants or maybe even, compliments, be sure to leave a comment on the site. I get a lot of them by IM or e-mails and Fred is feeling like I make it all up... But we're happy to get them any way we can. Thank you for helping us build a better show.

Intro music: Three Little Birds - Bob Marley
Various bed music:
. Hate Worldwide – Slayer
. Helldorado – W.A.S.P.
Outro music: Burn the Earth – Dethklok

Waterworld was the big budget fiasco, not "The Postman" the Postman was 1997, Waterworld was 200million plus and was the most expensive movie ever produced until Titanic.

13th warrior was a very good flick, even the fight scenes were well done. And the Viking ship in Norway, at EPCOT is one of the props from the film. And Since you love Banderas so much - check out Once upon a time in Mexico. Johnny Depp gets his eyes ripped out, Cheech Marin gets blasted.... nice ending to the Mariachi trilogy

Show notes: Episode #5 – The 13th Warrior

Recorded October 4, 2009
Posted October 20, 2009

Recorded, edited and posted within two weeks!!! (plus one day...) We're getting better!

Your hosts endure various interruptions and interference to record the fifth show for your pleasure. It really is amazing what that little USB microphone will pick up, please forgive the ambient noises that couldn't be edited out...

Once again we sit in the grand studio to discuss and deride the movies and music we have encountered this week. We remind everyone that we are here for the spoilers. I wonder why Fred suggests Becca should listen to songs called "I Like to say Fuck!"... We also try to figure out how many ounces are in a wine bottle and how to pronounce the word "regurgitasome"

This week we discuss the 1999 movie, "The 13th Warrior". We go on and on about the flick and not once do we mention how much both of us hate Antonio Banderas.

It's a lot of fun doing these shows, we hope you enjoy listening to them. Keep that feedback and input coming, we love each and every one of you!

Intro music: Heavy Metal Pirates - Alestorm
Various bed music:
. The Big Bang Theory - Barenaked Ladies
. Across the Universe - Beatles
. Angel of Death – Slayer
. Roads Go Ever On – Glenn Yarbrough
. I Am Legend – White Zombie
Outro music1: The Lost Vikings - Dethklok
Outro music2: The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins - Leonard Nemoy

Great show man! I wish Jay and I could get our shit together like you two. Sorry I don't have any insightful comments, but I like what I hear. But here are a few comments:

A) Definately don't wait so long to post shows. I know you're busy, but just post the unedited version or something if you don't have time. Listening to you guys talk about upcoming movies you are looking forward to, but already came out almost a month ago, was a little odd.

B) I'm not sure how to do this, but... I like the fact that you pick a great movie like Arlington Road. I know you guys aren't worried about spoilers. But for a movie like that, it's pretty much ALL about the ending. So either you ruined it for someone who hasn't seen it, or you were talking about something we've already seen. You made a few points about the meaning of this or that and how you noticed certain things and what they meant, but it was still kind of like a recap. MUCH better than before though, but still kinda felt like you were just telling us what happened. And like I said, either you were telling us something we already knew or ruining it for someone who hadn't seen it. I think it was mostly just the choice of movie though. Like you said, the entire movie was just one long drawn out buildup for one hell of an ending.

Other than that, I like your format so far. I like how you talk about music and upcoming music, then upcoming movies and shit. You kept a good flow from one to the next and didnt dwell too long on any subject. Can't wait for the next show!

Show notes: Episode #4 – Arlington Road
Recorded August 30, 2009
Posted September 25, 2009

Wow, the plan was every other week, slipped to every third week and now we're dropping to once a month. But this should be the last extended delay and we'll be back on a every second/third week schedule again.

We figured out that too much prep work can kill a show just as easily as no prep work. We cut a LOT of the dry lists of details and I think we have finally learned the balance of what we want from this show.

Your humble hosts discuss some of the movies and music we've experienced, we learn that Fred likes a lot of "bottom end" and Morgan remembers that computers only do what we tell them... EXACTLY what we tell them...

Remember that this was recorded Aug 30 so we haven't been able to incorporate some of the recent feedbacks yet. Get any new feedback in quickly as we plan to record again this weekend.

And once again, we REALLY appreciate your input, every single one of you. Thanks!

Intro music: We Rule The Fucking Land – Zimmer's Hole
Various bed music:
. Welcome to the Family – A Day to Remember
. The Voice Commanding You – Angra
. Living Dead – King Diamond
. Metalocalypse Theme – DethKlok
Outro music: When the Music's Over – The Doors
