Show number one! We introduce ourselves and give a rundown of our top ten favorite moves to give you a sense of where we’re coming from. In order to keep the runtime short, we split the first recording into two shows. This first episode we’ll cover Chris’s top ten favorite movies. In the next episode, we’ll cover Wade’s top ten favorite movies. So far, not much dissension in the ranks, our lists are varied and different but most movies could have ended up on either person’s list. Well, most of them anyway…
Wade addresses some of the movie related decrees from the impulsive “Emperor of Earth” posts. If you’ve read the blog, you’ve probably seen my “if I ran the world” posts. I am brought to task and forced to face some of my own short-sightedness. In my defense, I have always stated that I would require an extensive cabinet of advisers to correct me and help me stay in power…
And that’s it. We want to keep the show short and fun. Let us know what you think about it. Seriously, speak up, we want to know if you’re listening!
We’re looking at a semi-monthly broadcast (but don’t be too strict on us…) so the next show will be out in two weeks.
And for those of you keeping score at home, yes, while editing I became aware of the horrible fact that I am unable to count to ten. I re-capped and only listed eight movies. See, this is why I’m a drummer and not a mathematician. 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4.
Morgan’s Top 10
1 – Full Metal Jacket
2 – The Empire Strikes Back
3 – Fight Club
4 – Cool Hand Luke
5 – Raiders of the Lost Ark
6 – 12 Angry Men
7 – The Godfather
8 – Goodfellas
9 – The Blues Brothers
10 – Psycho
Seriously, as soon as we turned off the mic I started screaming, “No no! I meant Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Seven Samurai, V for Vendetta…” Picking ten favorites is impossible.

You both sounded great! I listened at work today while I was doing my paperwork and I really liked it.

I told him we should do it by Genre… but Noooooooooooo LOL

I think the that if you two do this regularly, a top ten by genre is a good idea. Each show could be a genre and why it is a genre. Same for music. Just make sure Morgan has ten next time or at least a reason why not.

I had ten, I just left two out on the re-cap, probably because everything was written down in frantic scratch fifteen minutes before the show.
The schedule and topic was still up in the air until Wade was on his way over. So if it sounded like I was unprofessional and ill-prepared, it’s because I was.
But I do like the genre approach and that’s how we’ll be doing it from now on. I’m already doing my homework, paring down the list (with commentary notes) for Episode 3. It will be better.

Great show guys! Don’t forget the death star shot an entire planet, does that make up some ground for bad guys everywhere? Maybe not since no one that was killed on Alderaan at the time it was destroyed was ever in any of the SW prequel movies (that I know of, could be wrong). Also I’m requesting bloopers tracks at the end of the show.

Good point Thom. One shot, killed millions… And Jimmy Smits (Bail Organa, adoptive father of Leia) was on-planet when it blew up so judges say… YES, it counts! Especially if the Organa household was entertaining a certain Gungan Senator at the time… If the Death Star killed Jar-Jar Binks then all is forgiven and I take back my criticism.
BTW, I’ve still got the raw audio from when you and I tried to record. It was a bad signal/noise ratio and we didn’t have an adjenda so I couldn’t mush it all together to make a show out of it but if you’re looking for them, I could pull the bloopers from there hahaha…

To Thom: {picture a wave of the hand in front of face} These are not the bloopers you’re looking for……
